Good friend Gerald Sosebee quit shooting skeet (nobody’s perfect) and started building furniture. He said “hey, let me build you something for the house”. We talked about building a kitchen table but the closer we got to beginning the construction the larger the island in the kitchen kept getting till there was no room for a table.

We decided to build a desk instead. And what a desk. Solid oak, this thing is built for the ages. Photos can’t do justice to the finish, but here they are anyway. I can’t repay Gerald sufficiently for his effort, but at least I put his work on display in a place of beauty.

desk-4-of-4

The first piece of furniture for the loft/office. Note how the cord from the floor plug disappears up the leg.

desk-1-of-4

A pretty piece of furniture in a pretty place.

Below are pictures from the construction in Gerald’s shop.
